Dilation Of Cervix What Is The Process For Labor, Cervix Ripening Then Dilation Or?

What is the process for labor, cervix ripening then dilation or? - dilation of cervix

I'm trying to get an understanding of the process. I had a reversal of the neck last week I was dilated almost 5 cm and my appointment, my OB and I was surprised it was 1-2 cm. I do not understand, but he was not worried. He said what happened.
In any case, I wonder if the maturation of the cervix should be expanded or relevance.
Can you help me with how the process really?
Thank you.

Should mature to expand. Or so I thought what I remember of my pregnancy books ... soften the cervix (adults) should be before you extend themselves.

Mothers with first loss (maturation) occurs, then expansion.

With the expansion occurs subsquent first pregnancy, and then deleted.

However, there are exceptions to the rule.
